Ultimately the aim of the course is for you to understand and be able to apply the concepts of innovation and creativity more effectively. Working individually, you are asked to create a report that demonstrates familiarity with the modules of the course, and applies them to your own organisational or entrepreneurial context to critique and make recommendations about creativity and innovation in that context. As such, you are being asked to bridge the gap between the theory and your own life and context.

Task

Your report will have two parts. The first part is a detailed overview of the selected modules, demonstrating familiarity with the course material that offers a range of useful theories of creativity and innovation. The second is to apply this module concept to your own organisational or entrepreneurial context to critique and discuss the implications for your organisation. You are to provide specific examples to support both sections. In the first section, you will provide evidence of your familiarity with materials, in the second section you will give specific examples from your organisation or entrepreneurial context.

The report needs to be presented as a business report. This includes executive summary, table of contents, introduction, body (headings), conclusion, reference list and appendices. Please no bibliography.

In respect to the report body too, there is a required structure. The first section will ask you to give an overview of course modules. We will give you choice as to how many modules you select to give an overview of. You must choose three modules from intensive 1 (modules 1 to 5), and two modules from intensive 2 (modules 6-8). The second half of the report body is application to your organisation or entrepreneurial context. Both sections require evidence- the first of theory, the second of your real world context.

Length:2,500 words (no 10% allowance beyond this).
