Two engines are running at a bmep of 250 kPa. One is an SI engine with the throttle partially closed to maintain the correct load. The second engine is a naturally aspirated CI engine which requires no throttle. Mechanical friction mep for both engines is 100 kPa. If the intake manifold pressures for the SI and CI engines are 25 kPa and 100 kPa respectively, and both exhaust manifold pressures are 105 kPa, use an ideal cycle model to estimate and compare the gross imep of the two engines. You may neglect the pressure drop across the valves during the intake and exhaust processes.
