Triathlons involve swimming, cycling, and running in succession over various distances. The July 2013 Sydenham Lakeside Olympic Triathlon near North Kingston, Ontario, featured a 1500-m swim, 40-km cycling course, and a 10-km run. A random sample of racers was obtained, and their finish times are given in the table below (in hours).
Food vendors at the finish line planned to stay for 2.5 hours. Is there any evidence to suggest that the mean time to finish this triathlon was more than 2.5 hours? Assume the underlying distribution is normal and use a = 0.01.
