TOPIC:What was the black power movement in the 1960s and 1970s in the United States
The research paper should be based on a minimum of7 scholarly sources.It should consist of an introduction that clearly states the goals and thesis supported by the paper; a body which develops the thesis, point-by-point, with reference to the sources, and a conclusion that reflects on the issues explored in the essay.
Make a cover page; insert page numbers; include the final and complete bibliography.
Your mark will be based on the following criteria:
Level of analysis: You should not merely summarize the sources one after the other, but present an argument.
Organization:Your essay should consist of an introduction, clear paragraphs that link to and support your thesis, and a conclusion. Ideas should be presented in a logical, easy-to-follow manner. A chronological structure works very well to explain change over time; comparisons and analysis can be made with a thematic structure.
Historical accuracy:The information in your essay should be accurate.
Use of evidence: You should substantiate all of your claims with specific references to the material used. Don’t just rely on generalizations: use examples, facts, stories, case studies, discourse analysis.Sources must be properly cited with footnotes or
endnotes.
Grammar and Style: Your ideas should be expressed clearly and in correct
grammatical form.
