Secondary sources are critical for providing context, a necessary component of your paper; however, primary sources will demonstrate a more sophisticated approach to your topic, allowing you to provide a direct voice from the period.

You need to carry out your argument and not rely too heavily on the narrative to drive your essay – the more you master this skill, the better your essay will be.As is the case in all well-argued essays, your work needs to have a strong introduction, a body (that proves your argument), and a conclusion. Introduction
The essay will revolve around the central topic that is Battle of San Jacinto and it was fought in the year 1836 on April 21st in the recent times, Texas, Houston was the decisive battle in terms of the Texas Revolution. However, int
erestingly at the Velasco the peace treaty was also signed and that granted Texas with a lot of independence as a nation that is solvent. This battle needless to say changes the entire Texas forever. The new Republic of Texas citizens responded to the destruction concerning the massacre of the unarmed Texans and Alamo captured Goliad with huge amount of rage. Mexico never regained the lost territory despite of the sporadic incursions during the time of 1840s.
The background of this battle can be regarded as quite ironical to its end outcome as it was the Santa Anna’s Mexican Army that was in pursuit of the Army concerning Texas by General Houston. Texas was finally free after the War though before that the individuals had declared the independence, but it was mainly after their fight and struggle they won the independence.
Body
It has been observed that the Battle of San Jacinto lasted for less than 20 minutes and it can be regarded as one of the shortest battle in the history but at the same time three republic’s fate was sealed completely. Furthermore, the sovereignty of U.S. was expanded as well as the culture was also spread to more than a third of at present contagious states. However, after this battle the U.S. Mexican War and annexation of Texas, America gained a lot territory (French, Gregg, 177).
I argue with the fact that African Americans had a major role in this particular battle. There were a lot of African slave and free, who supported this particular war. However, the recognition of the African American’s role was mainly denied, but recorded accounts in terms of individual acts of patriotism and bravery survived. On the other hand, the African Americans are counted among the army of Texas that is massacred at Goliad, among the people who transported supplies as well as contributed money for the Texas army, and also among the people who died defending the Alamo.
It is needless to say that the Battle of San Jacinto was also connected with freedom. SA, Houston gained a lot of time for rising and also training the army as the Santa Anna had also slowed down for defeating the Alamo defender. Moreover, for most of the settlers of Mexico in Texas defeat simply indicated the fact that they will be relegated toward the second political, social as well as the economic positions. On the contrary, the new Constitution of Texas simply denied (Witcher, T. R, 44).
The army of Texas did not have any time for loading their guns as Mexicans were quite quick but still they managed to win the battle in every possible manner. Few of the soldiers escaped to the river, others went toward the bridge, etc. Arguably, after studying the excerpts it is understood that the largest part of the people clump to trees that was not far from the river when they surrendered to the Mexican army. This situation was unbearable because of the chaos in the rear, river, etc where a lot of people fled. For the enraged followers the dying horses and men made a bridge. By the nightfall it can be argued...
