2. Research Design and Methodology
2. 1 Research Design
Background information about the research topic will be taken from pre-existing literature. The base of this research, on which the investigation will be conducted, has been taken from the literature reviewed from research articles by Alhnity et al. (2016), and Das and Xiao Feng (2017). As a part of descriptive research design, these collected data will be analysed critically for their in-depth understanding. As mentioned by Nassaji (2015), descriptive research critically analyses the in-depth issue necessary for the conduction of the research. The exploratory and explanatory research will not be taken, as they are restricted to off topics or to shallow details.
2.2 Methodology
2.2.1 Type of Research
For this research, qualitative research methodology will be followed because it is precise, timesaving and data generated is first-hand, which means real time impact can be seen as well as evaluated. The approach that could be most suitable for conducting this research will be primary qualitative method. As mentioned by McCusker and Gunaydin (2015), primary research is a first-hand research. Data will be collected by using human participant as subject. There is direct involvement of subject in generating the data. Selection of the subject and environment depends upon the need of research. Since the research topic is related to the SMBs of Nepal, managers of SMBs from Kathmandu, Nepal will be selected. The research is conducted in Kathmandu because it is one of the largest cities and the capital of Nepal; hence, people from all over Nepal either conduct their business there or come for dealings from other parts of the country. Thus, scope of meeting managers from various industries such as tourism, agriculture and other services would be easy for research purpose.
2.2.2 Data Collection
