In modern time's employment and getting a job is highly competitive. It becomes even more difficult if a person has a past criminal record. This assignment focuses on whether a jail record or a criminal record is really important from the point of view of the employer or not. It contemplates the probable factors that should be taken into consideration for addressing the Ban the Box movement. And also analyzes a news article about the same.
The article presented in the New York Times addresses the impacts and the importance of the Ban the Box movement and also presents, the way employers contemplate the issue. Obama administration addressed removing the criminal records from the application of the candidate (The New York Times). This suggests that the criminal history of the candidate should not be asked during the recruitment process.

Critics and experts have given reflection about the issue. Experts contemplate the issue that the segment of criminal records in jobs and housing had been one of the negative impacts of racism.
