(Topic 11)Chirper is an online tool where people make posts, called chirps, of up to 144 characters. It is determined by the parent company of Chirper that users post an average of 15.3 chirps per week with a standard deviation of 7.6 chirps. You do not know the type of distribution.
(a) If you take samples of size n = 36 from this distribution and take their average number of chirps (x), you can then work with a new distribution that is normal using the Central Limit Theorem. Find the mean and standard deviation of the normal distribution that represents a random sample of size 36. In other words, fill out the distribution below: X ∼ N( , )
(b) Use your results in part (a) to determine the probability that a random sample of 36 people who make posts to Chirper average 14.8 posts or more per week. Show probability statement setup.
