To present and reflect on your best writing of the semester, you will submit a
Writing Portfolio
. For the Writing Portfolio, you should choose what you think are your best three formal writing assignments or essays from this course. You can choose any of the four formal essays (including Essay #4 if you want) or the Annotated Bibliography. (You cannot choose an informal writing assignment such as a discussion, though.)
Once you choose your top three formal essays or writing assignments from this course, then you should write a reflection statement that includes one paragraph for each of the essays you chose in which you explain why you chose each one and what the strengths and weaknesses of each one are
. You can also explain how you revised and improved the essay throughout the course of the semester.
This is also your last chance to make any final revisions to these essays in your portfolio. If you want me to regrade any of the essays in your portfolio, then you will need to include an extra paragraph for that essay in which you explain what global and local revisions you have made to address my comments on the earlier grading criteria form.
Once you are finished with your choices and reflection paragraphs, then you should copy and paste or upload your reflection paragraphs along with any revised versions of the essays in your portfolio.
You can see the Writing Portfolio assignment sheet on the "
Writing Portfolio
" page in the "Major Assignments" module for more information, and let me know if you have any questions.
