To facilitate assessment of your ongoing work, you will submit a review of the literature. This includes an introduction including the purpose of the paper (different than purpose of the study) the background, problem statement,purpose of the study, including research question, review of literature, evaluation of the over all literature, paper summary and reference list.

Please include the following bold font mandatory headings in your Literature Review

•    Introduction (including “the purpose of the paper is ..“ sentence)
•    Problem Statement (including a direct statement, “the problem is….” At the very beginning of this section)
•    Scope of Importance/Background
•    Significance of the Problem to Nursing (this is where you make your case to do the research)
•    Purpose of the Proposed Study (include original Research Question which must tie into the purpose and place this at the beginning of the section)
•    Nursing Theoretical Foundation (select an appropriate nursing theory which applies to the research topic).
•    Literature From Last Five Years-List data bases searched and search terms used and years searched  ( Remember to include for each article (five minimum) where appropriate: study purpose; methods; results; and conclusions.  If it is not a study, be sure to identify what type of article it is, an editorial, systematic research review, etc. but tell of the article’s conclusions and why the statements are important to your research topic ) Use approx. 150-200 words to summarize each article

Create a level 2 heading identifying the title for each article. Then be certain to create level 3 headings to include the purpose, methods, results and  conclusions along with a sentence or two about how the article supports or relates to your proposed study. Each article should be presented in no more then two paragraphs, ending with a smooth, logical transition to the next article.  If it is not a study, be sure to identify what type of article it is, an editorial, systematic research review, etc. but tell of the article’s conclusions and why the statements are important to your research topic ) Use approx. 150-200 words to summarize each article - Be Concise. Please avoid copy/paste.
