The first times are always the special moments in anybody’s life. The first time of any activity, event or incident can have a lasting impression on one’s mind. The first time experiences are always memorable, irrespective of the fact that they can be amateurish, good, bad or all of these. It was not different in my case either, when I got the opportunity to bake a cake for the first time.
It was my brother’s birthday and he was only 12 years’ old at that time. Having a love for mangoes and anything that has a mango flavor, the mango cake has always been his favorite. Although mangoes are quite rare to be found in the climate of the USA, I try to buy him mangoes from any supermarket I find or commercial orchards. Hence, attempting to make his twelfth birthday a very memorable one, I planned to bake a cake for him, myself. Having watched a multitude of videos on the online video watching application YouTube, I became quite convinced that the cake-baking affair can be literally a “cake-walk” for me and it might be as easy as ABC as the videos showed.
However, fate had quite a different story for me in it, and I found no mangoes that day in the market.
