Throughout the term, you will be asked to report on various elements of victimology by completing a journal assignment that addresses various scenarios, cases, essays, and research. All journal assignments will be done within the assignment tool. You will have specific defined titles for each assignment. Your titles should be the main header on your assignment. When you name your journal assignment please use the provided title and follow the instructions on what to include in your original assignment.
As we have discovered, victim rights vary greatly by state. Select a state other than your own home state, and explore victim rights in that state, selecting one right in particular. How enforceable is this right in your selected state? Discuss whether the right is the result of a state statute and/or part of the state constitution. Compare whether the right has a greater advantage by being a state statute or part of the state constitution.

Approach these activities as (a) an opportunity to reflect upon and apply what you learn each week based on the assigned readings, discussions, and activities, and (b) an opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise based on your educational and professional experiences in the past.
