Abstract
This paper determines the immigration data of Prince Georges County in Maryland in
United State. This paper also includes the data of U.S. Census 2000 and 2006 that provides the
valuable information about the Prince Georges County in the state of Maryland. The main
consideration of this paper is to provide the information about the documented and
undocumented immigrants with the help of different data sources. This paper is quite effective to
provide relevant information related to different aspects such as employment, housing, language
spoken at home, health insurance status in the county with the help of the U.S. Census.

Immigration Data in PG County .MD
The U.S. Census 2000 and American Community survey 2006, both data sources depict
about the immigration of people in the Prince Georges County in Maryland. The report of the
U.S. Census and American Community survey, both information resources presents the growth
in immigration because in the county, the international migration increases due to the addition of
newborn children in foreign families (Department of Legislative Services, 2008). The data of
U.S. census from 2000 to 2006 describes that there was 199.9% increment in newborn foreign
children that change the data related to immigration in the county.
The immigration growth rate has also made respective changes in the population of the
county by the immigration of Hispanic residents. In between the period of 2000 and 2006, 41%
growth was noted in the population of the country (Maryland Census, 2010). The immigrant rate
in Prince Georges County was 24% of the total immigrant percent of the country (United States
Census Bureau, 2006). On the other hand, Mexico and El Salvador both countries are responsible
for the growth of undocumented immigrants in the county.
