This Student Assessment Guide will give you the opportunity to show your skills in determining strategic change requirements and opportunities; and to develop, implement and evaluate change management strategies. This will be achieved through producing and implementing a Change Management Plan and a Communications Plan within a simulated business environment, FitLife.
This assessment is based on the following simulation:
Simulation: Lead and Manage Organisational Change
You will complete a number of tasks in developing a change process, implementing and critically evaluating its outcomes. These tasks will be based on your role of Business Change Management Officer (BCMO) in a simulation for FitLife, an organisation that is a chain of fitness and health clubs in Australia.

To do this case study, you will require to complete a number of tasks referring to the following resources:
Risk Management Policy and Procedures    FitLife’s policy and procedures related to risk management.

Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedures    FitLife’s policy and procedures related to recruiting and selecting new staff members.

Internal Communications Policy and Procedures    FitLife’s internal communications policy and procedures when engaging in internal communication practices amongst staff members.

Meeting Code of Conduct    Organisational set of rules to conduct effective meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

FitLife Strategic Review    A strategic analysis which provides a snapshot of the internal and external environment including  a summary of the trends and opportunities in the health and fitness segment.
Remember, you do not type your answers in this Student Assessment Guide, but use the Student Assessment Workbook which is a separate document. This document is simply a guide to explain what you are required to do, and by doing so, this will assist you to perform at your best.
Please note that your responses for this assessment can (where appropriate) use dot point format. Please refer to the example provided to you in your Student Assessment Guide.
Note that to be deemed competent for this unit, you must achieve a satisfactory outcome for all of the assessment tasks. This includes meeting the following conditions:
•    you must complete all of the tasks outlined in this Student Assessment Guide document to the standard indicated in the performance requirements; these are listed under each of the tasks

•    you will then submit your completed workbook to your assessor electronically

•    you must perform the above two points within the given timeframes by your Assessor.
