I'm taking a African Amercian literature class and I learned about racism, slavery, the slaves resistance to slavery and women of African ancestry that were attacked by both racism and patriarchy as well as the manifestations of sexism, and misogyny.

The main points from the course that have been intriguing to me
There are some of the major concepts of this course that have been extremely intriguing to me. As my class is about African American literature so the following are some of the things that are quite memorable to me: Firstly, the African American studies in the class mainly highlighted the people's experience of African people throughout history. Secondly, another concept was associated with gender and blackness slaves of the African people continued to determine some of how black bodies are mainly read in the United States. The machinations concerning enslavement as an institution primarily relied on disarticulating the black women from the categories of human and women.
