I. Essay Questions
1. Conflict between Immigrant Parents and Their Children
Introduction
The long team ethnographic study has shown that integration and identity formation are not influenced by race but also influences by the reception. It is important to note that the second-generation Liberal Americans deals with number of issues like stigma attached towards them, which resulted in development of difference between the parents and children.
Two Sources of Conflicts between Immigrant Parents and their Children in Liberal Families

Since their parents are not ashamed of the struggle but children are highly ashamed of their parents working, they often distance themselves to accompany their parents in the white neighborhood. This increases the conflict further between immigrant parents and second-generation children. It is important to note that second generation is trying to escape from the term refugees, which are often used for them. They wanted to remove the labels attached towards them. The methods they are using to escape is developing tension between them and their parents.
Conclusion
Despite the steps taken by the second generation, to reduce the stigma, attached towards them, their identity as Blacks outside their neighborhood persists. It has been seen that children are making distance from their heritage and the struggle their ancestors had done in this country to gain the...
