REFLECTIVE ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL INSTITUTION AND ORDER

INTRODUCTION
Sociology aims to build a community by discarding all forms of inequalities. The community which will aim to strive for the betterment of the society. This will be undertaken from a personal point of view and theories of Marx and Durkheim will be discussed in order to gain an insight into the structure (Blommaert, J., 2018).
Sociology is a branch of study that believes to shed l
ight on harmonizing the society by discarding the social stratification. However, there appears to be certain things which are identified as societal construct that tends to disrupt the order. Resulting in creation of social institutions and class thereby creating an inequality. Consequently, the society gets divided and a major chunk of it tends to fall prey to the bourgeoisie milieu of the utilitarian ethos. As a result, the anguish results from the pain and suffering which furthermore result in economic downfall and therefore exploitation and poverty. This essay will therefore cover theories which are related to Karl Marx and Emile Durkheim in lieu of societal class construct. Extensive discussion will be undertaken in order to shed light on the vignettes concerning the inequality of the society and how it affects the society.

Process of social institution and social order is created
The basic understanding of the order in the society can be conceived by gaining hold of the hierarchy existing in the society.
This hierarchy can exist in the form of capitalist to the working class as Karl Marx had propounded (Haveman and Wetts, 2019).
Emile Durkheim on the other hand believed that the individual is subjected to stay dominance due to their own fault.
The division of the society is formed basically as an allegiance towards the bourgeoisie milieu of the utilitarian ethos.
Process of social institution and social order is created
Ever since man gained consciousness power play has always been the order of the day and not something entirely utopic. As a result every institution is created within a society for maintenance of order. On the contrary, it appears as a resultant factor of power and as a symbol of dominance meted out towards certain section of the society There happens to be certain prescribed rules or norms depending upon the kind of organization that exists. . The orthodoxy is viewed as a tool which is deeply embedded within the institutions of society. On the other hand, orthodoxy is not something which will be viewed as a timeless truth but as something that is political and subordinate to political requirements (Cooper et al. 2016). If I go way back to the time when Theocracy was the order of the day, then we will see that church is viewed as an institution which sits at the top of the hierarchy. Order from the church was considered to be the highest order and therefore everybody had to adhere to that order. It had been stated by the French Marxist philosopher Louis Althusser that it is completely the ideology that bifurcate the certain sections of the society. Therefore, this came to be known as Ideological State Apparatus.

Now if we look into the process as the famous German philosopher Karl Marx defined in his works institutions are created in order to control the individuals. Thereafter came capitalism which aims to exploit, alienate, mystify, degrade and thereby leads to the anarchy concerning the market. Monopoly is the resultant factor for the creation of social division. Since they had abundant control concerning the supply of the produced goods, the monopolists had the power to inflate the prices of the consumer’s goods. They eventually swell their coffer of profit at the expense of the interest of the consumers. The producers who were small could not compete the vast resources of the monopolists. Consequently, they failed to stand the test of the competition. This resulted in a disparity. Furthermore, from the feudal order came capitalism where there became a division between the capitalist and the working class. The powerful and the powerless, oppressor and the oppressed came to create a social distinction. The poor working class or people belonging from the marginalized section of the community where deprived of shelter and food. They had to work rigorously and in excruciating matter in order to earn their daily bread.

Emile Durkheim another French sociologist propounded a theory which goes by the name of Anomie. It talks about the unreal aspirations as well as expectations we harbour often results in conflict. It results in a conflict between the means and ends and we are eventually left with hopelessness and meaninglessness as well as something that is unjust. The hopes and claims appear as illegitimate and immoderate. Durkheim believed that rather than us as...
