Before proceeding with the project, it has been approved by NSW minister of planning in 2007. The project is being owned by Frasers Property and they will be in charge of the management of the project. The designing team will contain famous French architects Ateliers Jean Nouvel and British architects Foster + Partners. There will be residential area, shops, cafes, community facilities, new parks as well as offices. Making cycle paths is also in the plan. All the costs will be control by the company in management. SCOPE MANAGEMENT PLAN:
The project is absolutely necessary to improve the city infrastructure. The management company of this project, Frasers supports affordable housing and has contributed $32 million for Redfern Waterloo Authority. The project will be highly environment friendly. The company in management of the project has prior experience of developing parks and other public places, so it will be assumed that they will successfully complete this project as well. Just the design has been made; engineers will be required to check the technical viability. The contractors will be provided statement of work, which will record the progress of the work. Such big project is divided into several small parts and then those are prioritized in rank of completion. The main work to be completed in the project can be break down into three parts: construction works, internal designing and furnishing. For each of the main part listed above several small milestones can be provided. The construction work will involve making the building, park, cycle track, etc. Internal designing will involve door, windows, floors, etc. Then separate furniture to be set for separate places. There will be three work packages: construction; internal design and furnishing. The fixed cost and the variable costs will be ascertained and depicted in clear. The motive of the organization is to complete the project on time and so it is absolutely in sync with the work structure breakdowns. Each deliverables need to be segregated and the cost to be spent on each item will be checked. In the process of the project if any change is to be made a separate amount need to be kept for that. Till now, the responsibilities have been properly segregated, but if required in future change in the responsibilities will be made. The project will be valued on the whole cost incurred both fixed and...
