Developing economy with increasing population has lead to a mobility crisis in India.
Roads serve as the ridge rope for Indian people. The way arteries carry blood in the body and helps the body to operate, similarly roads carry people and goods from one place to another and helps easy operating of the city.
People are spending so much time on the streets to travel from home to work places. Work here can be categorized into professional or personal. Increase in vehicle on road has side by side caused and increase on pressure on parking spaces. Car parking is the major problem in urban areas in both developed and developing countries. With the decreasing size of the family, we notice the total number of vehicles per individual is also increasing.
Increasing number of vehicle on the other hand has led to lack of sufficient parking space in India.
According to GetmyParking, India acquired 100 million vehicles in 60 years whereas the next 100 million were bought in just next 10 years. Increase in vehicle has led to overcrowding of vehicles on the road.
