Assessment Event number 2 of 2 Instructions for this assessment This is a project based assessment and will be assessing you on your knowledge and performance of the unit. Project Completion Report 5. Assessment Checklist Submission instructions On completion of this assessment, you are required to upload it or hand it to your assessor for marking. Ensure you have written your name at the bottom of each page of this assessment. What do I need to do to achieve a satisfactory result? To achieve a satisfactory result for this assessment all tasks must be completed correctly. What do I need to provide? Assessment Checklist All documentation must be professional and in accordance with Plan2go’s Organisation Style Guide. Workplace Scenario You are employed at Plan2Go as a Project Assistant. Plan2go is a Corporate Sponsor of the Bondi Surf Life Saving Association (SLSA) which is a well-known organisation within its local community and the wider Sydney area. Your manager, Sophia Jankovic, has been liaising with Bob Gallagher who is the President of the SLSA. The SLSA needs to raise money for new life saving equipment. It has been decided to hold a Walkathon at Bondi (in approximately 8 weeks) which will: a) Raise money through entry fees and donations b) Increase public awareness of beach safety, promote a healthy lifestyle and attract more members to the region’s Clubs (Bondi, Coogee and Clovelly) c) Promote Plan2go and their services through a community event. Plan2go will be organising the Walkathon on behalf of the SLSA however the overall project sponsor will be Bob Gallaghar (SLSA President). The planning and organising of this event needs to start immediately. The project goal is to raise between $15,000 and $20,000 to cover the cost of the new equipment. The total expenditure has been estimated to be $8,500 for the promotion and hire of equipment to support the project. Your role is to carry out the administrative aspects of the project. It has already been decided that the event will involve walking distances of 2.5km, 5km and 7.5km for walkers of all ages including seniors of 60 years and over. When you complete Part 1: Project Brief, you must submit it to your assessor for marking and feedback before you commence Part 2: Project Plan. The Project Brief must include: 1) Project name: You will decide on the name of the project. Part 2: Project Plan Your Project Brief (Part 1) has been accepted by the organisation. You must discuss the feedback with your facilitator to ensure you understand the project. You now need to prepare a Project Plan in accordance with the requirements of the project brief. The Project Plan will include the detailed planning and strategies required to complete the project on time and within budget. You need to use a copy of the Plan2go Project Plan available in folder BSBADM407_AE_SR1, from your assessor. This is an organisational template that Plan2go uses for all project administration. When you complete Part 2, you must submit it to your assessor for marking and feedback before you commence Part 3. The Project Plan must include: 1) Project Name – refer to the Project Brief. 2) Approvals, Document control and revision history – refer to the Project Brief. 3) Project Overview – Write a brief overview statement about the project. These will be the milestones of the project – the specific, measureable stages of the project that indicate progress towards achieving the objectives.
