What do you think are some common misconceptions concerning people with psychiatric disorders? Do you think people with brain disorders such as amnesia or epilepsy are viewed and treated differently than people with psychiatric disorders? What are the reasons why or why not? Do you think they should be treated differently? How can future tragedies like these be averted? Do you think it's fair to eliminate rules regarding doctor-patient confidentiality for certain people (FYI, doctors are required to report if they think their patients are suicidal or are planning to hurt someone; I'm talking about reporting depression, anxiety, etc.,in certain occupations), and to override their basic rights if there is even a hint of potential danger?
