Part 1:
1) ELI strength and weaknesses and blind spot
The ethical lens which describes me the best is the relationship lens and it is due to my tendency to utilize reasoning and my ability to maintain fairness and respect
for everyone which includes my classmate, my family or friends. In my opinion all individual should be allowed the same rights and responsibilities in relation to the ethical process and no individual should be allowed to manipulate the situation so that better outcome can be achieved by them or by anyone involved. The biggest strength of mine is the ability of mine to maintain calmness and clear mind when it comes to people affecting me or my near ones negatively and this ability allows me to make a rational and ethical decision to better the outcome of the circumstances. On the other hand the most important weakness of mine is that I tend to be more trusting and authoritarian or dictatorial which makes the outcome of some situation unfair and unethical and then I will miss use my power I will force my will on others for their own good and my temptation is exemption and entitlement. I like to make sure that everyone should be treated fairly and treated with respect. In my opinion everyone deserves a fair chance to represent their own thoughts and my core values are equality and sensibility.
Further my blind spot is over confidence and it is somehow correct because over confidence in the process and when it fails isolation and guilt happens. In the future I will maintain the calmness and ability of clear mind to overcome the weakness and blind spot and I must remember to temper my actions with concern for individuals and also should consider the gifts of the other lenses. Thus through this I am able to learn self evaluation and able to discuss my strength and weaknesses. Although it was not expected the result was accurate.
2) Individual versus group decision making:
Ethics applies to both professional and societal responsibilities. Thus as an accountant it is important that individual and group should be considered in ethical decision making.
