This chapter has suggested that the world in the twenty-first century faces a number of challenges including global health pandemics, the widening gap between the have and the have-nots, environmental destruction, human rights violations, and the need for quality education and health care, to mention just some. Do you feel that your society (whichever one it is) has a moral obligation to contribute to the solution of these problems?
