    Question
    1
Critically appraise the argument(s) presented by the author(s).

The authors argue that the big chall
enge that EMNEs face after establishing their first overseas operation is aligning their strategic ambition with their human resources. It has also been argued by the authors that the implementation of organisational strategies is majorly obstructed by the lack of internationally experienced talent pool in the EMNEs. The Authors further argue that it is a key challenge for catch-up strategies to retain, develop and attract talented candidates who may allow the organisations to lead their operations internationally. Here the author argues that lack of international experience can create various challenges that can develop several strategic problems in front of the development of the business.
    2
What is the method – how do the author(s) convince their readers?

The authors have used the thematic analysis strategy in the research to explore and analyse the issues of the research using a secondary qualitative method for collecting necessary and relevant data from recent literature. The data is explored using mainly tw perspectives including a strategic management perspective and a human resources perspective and thereafter, the authors engage in exploring the management challenges and research questions using an inductive approach to draw on empirical observations to detect key managerial challenges, which merit future empirical and theoretical analyses. A three-step qualitative investigation method has been employed by the researchers. The first of which involved case research based on interviews, the second of which involved extensive discussions with senior executives in the EMNEs and the third of which involved five in-depth interviews with executives that were working outside of China.
    3
Discuss the limitations of the research conducted by the author(s), beyond the limitations provided by the author(s).

The research is bounded with some limitations. Author provided limited scholarly discourses that are not enough to provide suitable data to analysis the research topic. The research is also bounded with financial limitations that also affected the research. Thirdly, the authors have engaged extensively in reviewing a wide range of existing literature to address the stated problem. However, a first-hand perspective of managerial personal in the EMNEs would have provided a much more consolidated understanding of the research issue and may have opened new theories for speculation, thereby, increase the scope of the research.

    Question
    1
Critically appraise the argument(s) presented by the author(s).

The authors have argued that the interface between life and work has become somewhat boundary-less and blurred for the knowledge workers. They argue that the main reason for this is their empowerment, as well as, enslavement by mobile devices. According to the observation of the author, the boundary-less workforce of knowledge workers is became empowered and enslaved by their mobile phones. Thus, the engagement of the workers with their mobile phones, in terms of every aspect of their life, is serving the easiest and flexible workforce.
