[Last Name] 1 [Last Name] 4 "Good governance plays an important role in citizens' development by providing them opportunities and strength.” From the beginning of this world, people face different challenges about their safety and future growth. This human safety and future growth were not possible without governance. The government system is changing its shape from the beginning. In the first days, one man from a family-led that family. Then this trend applied to larger-scale like tribes. The next evolution was the monarchy system. In the monarchy system, the king was the only power source. All the other people had no right to even speak against the king. Unfortunately, this king system is still going on even in some developed countries. Democracy is the best solution to all the problems created by its predecessor government systems. Ancient Greeks are the founders of this system. First, Greeks used this system in selecting their leader. But women and slaves were not allowed to cast a vote. But at that time, it was far better than other systems for that era. Thomas Jefferson argues, “The purpose of government is to enable the people of a nation to live in safety and happiness. Government exists for the interest of governed, not the governors” (Jacobus p. 56). This quote is justifying the claim that the role of government is not to rule, but it is responsible for its people's development. The government should also be responsible for the economic autonomy and independence of citizens through the flexibility of taxes and financial laws. Another factor that leads to social peace is economic growth. Without economic growth, the community will remain stagnant and unable to grow, making relaxation impossible to achieve. Language has a negative impression of consumer spending due to a shortage of economic growth. The importance of governance in our community cannot be overstated. Since the dawn of time, it has existed as a seat of authority where rules and regulations are created, modified, and implemented. The government plays an essential role in many aspects of society, including lawmaking, schooling, industrial development, infrastructure, transport, social amenities growth, job creation, and the health sector. Every day when we turn on the news, we discover that what it contains consists of what governments around the world are doing. There appears to be no news if we didn't have regimes to entertain us. In reality, without state assistance, life may get so monotonous that it is no longer worth living. Despite all of the discourse about democracy, it's incredible that perhaps the wider populace has no good understanding of what it is and what it does. People often roll their eyes when questioned just what government function is or what nature of government procurement is. The formation of the government is the critical point of any system. If people are involved in the government formation process, they can select a leader whoever they want. People should have the right to accept their leaders because they better understand who will contribute to their well-being and development. Thomas Pain's argument clarifies the reality of the government either in its best or worst form. "Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one” (Jacobus p. 54). Thus, citizens should be autonomous enough to choose their rulers and decision-making. The leadership's prime aim is to ensure people's well-being and what it can do to ensure that everyone has equal rights and freedoms while still bringing peace. For me, the government's most significant goal is to keep civilization safe. I don't believe we would be where we are now if we didn't have peace. To me, stability entails exercising power over society, with society determining who exercises that control. We have the right to vote and free expression, which allows us as a whole to elect people who we believe would look out for our interests as well as the interests of society as a whole. Human existence plays a significant role in maintaining equilibrium. It is our responsibility as a society to defend each other from those who refuse to follow the laws to maintain that harmony. We, as a society, need a sense of standard duty and obligation in order to not only look out for one another but also to assist in the enforcement of the laws in place to maintain a clean and secure atmosphere. We can't guess how any human being would behave against another or even act out in a given situation, as human behaviour would get it. It is detrimental to economic development if society does not invest. Government in its worst form as we are facing in the modern world is the breacher of equality, rights and prosperity of the state. As the argument by AYN RABD described, "A government is the most dangerous threat to man’s rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims” (Jacobus p. 54). The government could use its legal rights to discriminate against humans and their rights, and no one would be there to ask. The role of government in the development of communities and societies is crucial; thus, instead of overusing the power government should learn to manage it and control it. As stated in the reading, "power is the issues and maintaining it is the sign of good government" (Jacobus p. 55). Like Thomas Jefferson, Aynrand has the same views about government. The protection of life, freedom, and the right to life ought to be the supreme objective of governance. Governments cannot grant life, independence, or pleasure; they can only strip them away. Freedom, or democracy, is a subject that comes up in every debate of state; and it comes up not just because the government will add to liberty in either manner, but rather because government inevitably infringes on freedom due to its very existence. The regime is to be handled as if it were a professional patrol dog, with its handlers leading it out into the crowd under close supervision and quick control. The mere existence of State power is generally enough just to warn people to respect the liberties of everyone else so that each citizen, unrestricted in every way but through proper law and by individual choice, may produce wealth and use or maintain it as they see fit. Only the man, in his or her own unique way, may produce wealth, and it is by citizens that the country's money is generated. The right of people to do what they think is best for them is what generates a country's income; the trillions of individual decisions that happen freely each day in our economy are what keep us all alive. Maintaining an atmosphere in which citizens freely trade goods and services within the law is the sole duty of the government if the aim is to maximize the country's wealth store. Its duty is to punish people who infringe on the rights of others; the government's position is that of a referee; it must stay out of the game; it must leave the business of making money to those who can do it, to others who can only do it, to others who are not government employees. The government will only ruin money, not produce it. The exercise of the power of government authorities to undermine citizens is the violation of rights and the position standards on which the individual is working. The work of Tao-Te-Ching makes it clear that "The Master leads by emptying people’s minds and filling their cores." Thus, a government cannot control people by power but their minds by fluffing their desires and demand. A good government should hear to its people and contribute to their development by all possible means. The illegal use of a person's status while in the office leads to a slew of issues in today's government. Politicians' unethical methods are based on theories that are solely for economic benefit. Political corruption has occurred throughout history and continues to occur in today's society, and it has taken many forms, including bribery, economic and social implications, and misuse of power. The government's position in everyday life has been seen to have negative consequences in a variety of areas, including literature. A good government is one that use wisdom and resources to lead people, not coercion and power. As Tao-Ta-Ching argues, "The Master sees things as they are, without trying to control them. She lets them go their own way, and resides at the centre of the circle"(Jacobus p. 63). This quote also justifies the claim that a good government instead of controlling things makes them better and beneficial for everyone. A good government makes decisions to shape things instead of controlling them. Along with the well-being, development and growth, the protection of citizens should be the priority of the government.
