Introduction
SCM (Supply Chain Management) is the management of the flow of goods/finance and information related to a product/service, from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the product at its final destination. Therefore, effective supply chain management plays a critical role in the success of any business. Organizations must design and create an effective supply chain plan to optimize their processes, reduce costs, improve customer services and increase profitability (Ackerman, 2007). In the context of this paper, a fictitious company called "Olive Way Foods" is chosen that will produce organic food products. The primary purpose of this paper is to build a supply chain plan for a new business by analyzing factors that affect sourcing, logistics, metrics, suppliers, and risk. This analysis will examine the key factors affecting a new business's supply chain, including the value chain, inputs and outputs, inventory points, forecasting, sourcing activities, risks, locations, and logistics.
Analysis of the Supply Chain
The supply chain plan for the company (Olive Way Foods) is given below:

Value Chain and Flow of Structure:
The value chain for "Olive Way Foods will start with procuring organic raw materials from the suppliers. The raw materials will then go through manufacturing, production, quality control, and packaging. The finished products will be warehoused and distributed to retail stores, supermarkets, and online marketplaces. Finally, the products will be delivered to the end customers. Therefore, the value chain activities primarily aim to create customer value (Hugos, 2011).
The flow of structure in the supply chain will involve the movement of goods and information between the various stages. It will start with procuring raw materials and end with delivering finished products to customers. Moreover, the structure flow will be divided into several stages: procurement, production, distribution, and delivery (Jones & Clarke, 2002).
