Abstract 
Implementation of public health provisions in Illinois is not performed via a single organization 
but, several state and local groups might be regarded for arrangement of the same in which we 
may include State health agencies, Local health departments, Local public health agencies etc. 
There might be observed a number of complications faced via such groups in performing the task 
but, because of an ideal collaboration made via them the process can be run in a smooth and well 
organized mode which may induce cultivation of inter organizational partnership further. 
Essential health services in Illinois are not provided via only a single organization or 
agency but, there is a whole network of such groups which ensure the availability of timely 
health care to all. For instance; State agencies play an important role in management of activities 
performed by Local health departments and might be termed responsible for implementation of 
certain plans which may include disease surveillance, epidemiology and data collection.

State health agencies not only collect data regarding health related information but also, 
review such data for trends, and examine inconsistent or frightening disease outlines. For 
example; these may accumulate and analyze data regarding vital statistics, infectious diseases, 
behavioral risk factors, cancer, childhood immunization etc. In addition, registries and database

concerning hospital discharge, trauma and so forth. are also accumulated, preserved and 
scrutinized via State government.               
State health agencies perform above role with the assistance of Centers for Disease
