Total quality management refers to the managemental approach for long-term success in an organisation through the means of customer sa
tisfaction. In this management program, all the members of an organisation work together for improving the product, process, services and the entire culture of the organisation. The total quality management process takes part in fulfilling all the requirements of the customers through which the organisation can be benefited. The total quality management has several primary elements through which the management program can be summarised and the continuous improvement can be made by generating several strategies, data processing and communication to integrate the quality of work culture. Effective communication is a main theme to generate discipline of cultural activities of the organisation.
Primary Elements
· The primary elements include focus towards the customers that determines the higher level of quality. It is very important for the company to focus on the quality improvements of the organisation, including the training of the employees maintaining quality to the design and service process and update software to determine that the services given to the customers lack imperfection.
· Employees of the organisation involved with all the activities are devoted to the workplace and total commitment from the employees are obtained to drive a better workforce. Total quality management requires a proper environment in the workplace for granting high performance from the workers that can integrate a constant improvement in the work process and can generate better business operations. Empowerment of workers in the workplace can influence better work environment.
· One of the most fundamental parts of total quality management is process thinking. The process refers to series of steps that can gather inputs from internal and external suppliers and transform it to create progressive outputs that can be delivered to the customers. TQM requires the steps to be carried forward in a defined manner and the performance measurement needs to be monitored to provide an unexpected variation of services.
· Initiating strategic and systemic control is one of the main parts of the management of quality where the main approach of the organisation is to work for the mission vision and goals of the organisation in a strategic manner.
· A phenomenal and important aspect of total quality management is the continuous improvement of the product and services served to the customers. The continuous process of improvement in the organisation can be measured with analytical and creative ways. The constant improvement brings certain changes in the overall performance of the employees and it can provide better result to the customers by exceeding the expectations of various stakeholders.
· Decision-making is one of the most important part when it comes to improve the continuous process of quality management. Analyzation of data for improved decision-making process and conscious formulation of strategic decisions are very important for quality management.
· Communication happens to be one of the best items, when it comes to organisational change and day-to-day operations. Effective communication motivates employees and it involves strategies and methods for better performances.
