There are three branches of government— the legislative branch, according to Cobbe (2019), the judicial branch and the executive branch. The statutory laws are created by the legislative department. Sometimes the citizens are also allowed to vote for or against the statutes. The executive branch, as the name suggests, is responsible for executing the statutes in the state that has been approved and passed already by the legislative branch of the government. Lastly, the judiciary branch of the government is responsible for interpreting and reviewing a statute. The power to veto a statute lies only in the hands of the President of the US. No one else has the authority to do so except the President.
