This assessment comprises 20% of your overall mark. You will create a recorded oral presentation, e.g. video clip, equivalent to a 500 word contribution (5 minutes), outlining the key issues facing a vulnerable group in terms of the public health issue that you investigated for your team report. You are to take a strengths-based approach in considering the group. You will need to demonstrate how stigma around the issues that the group encounters may influence their likely participation in interventions and programmes. Oral presentation criteria: Briefly outline the issues encountered by the vulnerable group (introduction). Specify the various dimensions of stigma that might be associated with this vulnerable group. Suggest ways that the stigma might be addressed constructively. Identify how this might influence participation in interventions and programmes. Ensure that you have solid evidence (i.e. references) and examples to support your presentation.
