The NIH is the major governmental funding agency for research and innovation in medicine. Other government agencies, universities, and private companies contribute to the development, testing, and distribution of medical treatments. Explore the links provided to websites and documents that provide information about how the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were created. Innovation ecosystems consists of community members, stakeholders, government, companies and other players who share technologies, research and development, skills and knowledge to derive innovation in the area which required immediate attention. During pandemic when novel Corona Virus shook the whole world, there was an emergency to invent the medicine, which can save life of the people. There has been decades of expertise and knowledge in the system in the form of research and development which led to the invention of the medicine in less than a year (Ratten & D’Souza, 2021).
Biopharma companies took immense risk as they utilized various disciplines such as drug metabolism, process chemistry, formulations and medicinal chemistry to harness the result =s of innovative technologies and bring effective yet safe medicines. Along with it, they need to ensure the availability and supply of medicines by increasing its production even in the time of huge health risk. The scientists are investigating mRNA medicines since decades and its results are scaled and standardized as it is created in lab. Synthetic generation of this mRNA helped to manage vast implication of the disease.
The collaborations with government at local and state level, different levels of health care providers helped in ensure speedy delivery of medicine within the system (Defendi et al., 2022).
