Thinking about the care that you have witnessed and delivered, reflect on instances when you feel that consent was not obtained without some kind of influence from either a practitioner or a family member. For example, a practitioner, relative or carer might have said, “Take your medication or you will never get better”. Also, think about whether consent is always gained before providing care and what type of consent this is.
