Much like the Neuman family in the video if Two American Families, I always envisioned owning a house and having a family, but there's so much more to the dream. What supports me in achieving the American dream is furthering myself in my education and career. What inhibits me from living the American dream is money. At the same time, I make decent money. It's not sustainable to purchase a house since it is only my income, and I am currently paying my way through school. Sociology can learn about the American Dream by understanding American society and its components.
