Do you think that consumers would be willing to pay higher prices if they thought it would help close down the human trafficking business? Consider an example of a consumer good that you frequently use and map out the supply chain involved. Think carefully—a simple jacket, for example, can involve dozens of different suppliers (fabric, thread, buttons, zipper, dye, packaging etc.).
