1. Set up a study to measure sediment discharge at our Bosque River site at Hico. The main question is how much is coming from bank erosion versus how much from the watershed? Describe what you would measure, how you would do it, with what techniques/instrumentation.

2. Set up a study to develop a sediment budget for a small tributary (2^nd
or 3^rd
order) in the Bosque watershed. Consider all the sinks and sources. Be sure to include how you would do the study, what you would look for?

3. What are the potential consequences of not using original source material when writing an article? This is a real world question, I’m not looking at class papers.

4. We reviewed a lot of articles on measuring soil loss from around the world. Why is it so hard to get a realistic estimate of soil erosion?
