Jill is 29 and has a BMI of 29, non-smoker, regular 26 day cycles, however does report the occasional longer break between periods. Jill is negative for Hepatitis B and C, HIV and Syphilis. She is immune to rubella and varicella. Jill had a baseline FSH of 6 and an AFC of 8 on day 2. Jack is 35 and is an electrician who smokes a pack a day on average and likes a beer on the weekend. He has a child from a previous partnership and his semen was noted as normal with his GP. He is negative to Hepatitis B and C, HIV and Syphilis. Their first IVF cycle was cancelled on day 8 of FSH as only 3 follicles were present in the right ovary, the left was senescent. On the second attempt Jill was started on a long down regulation cycle with Synarel and FSH of 200iui per day, commencing day 3 of cycle. Jill had an oestradiol of 9000IU/L on day 8 of cycle. 15 eggs were collected and all embryos were frozen. On a subsequent thawed embryo cycle (natural cycle with ovulation triggered on day 13) Jill became pregnant with a hCG of 130 on day 15 post FET and continued 200mg per day of vaginal progesterone until 9 weeks.
