There are five main schools of management, which can be divided into two subgroups of traditional management and the project management approach.
1. Discuss how the Project Management approach differs from the traditional approach.  Analyse the Project Management strengths and weaknesses versus the traditional approach.  2. Analyse the skills required of a Project Manager (PM) to be an effective leader & manager, you are to also explain which of those skills are of importance for managing people and why.   3. Analyse which leadership styles and theories support the PM approach in relation to the project you choose/select.   Include in your analysis how the application of an effective leadership style by the PM may enhance staff motivation. 4. Analyse which motivational theories can help improve the approach a PM takes in relation to the motivation and performance of the Project Team, provide at least 2 examples for each theory discussed
