The utility of single-system designs in the end result really depends on what you want to make of them. There are times when their application is difficult or time-consuming or their appropriateness is even somewhat unclear. Yet, we believe the advantages of single-system designs far outweigh the potential disadvantages. In this chapter, we reviewed a number of ethical and other issues pertinent to clients, administrators, students, and educators. Out of all this, we hope we have convinced you if not to adopt single-system evaluations lock, stock, and barrel, then to give them a try and to decide after your own experience with evaluating your practice whether the endeavor is indeed worthwhile. We hope—no, we predict—that it will be.
