is a resistance temperature detector (RTD). The RTD has a resistance of 100 U at 0C
and its temperature coefficient is þ0.4 U/
C (the resistance increases as the temperature rises). The components of the system have the values: R1 ¼ 100 U,
R2 ¼ R3 ¼ 1K U, Rm ¼ 10K U, and Vi ¼ 9V. What is the output voltage reading
when the temperature is 50C? (Hint: use Eq. 6.10).
