The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) aims to evaluate students’ academic performance. In line with this, you have been appointed as a Consultant to work on the project. The University would want to ascertain how age, gender, work experience, interim assessment scores and examination scores influence students’ overall academic performance. In doing so, you are required to provide answers to the following issues to the University in simple, clear and concise form. As much as possible, provide justification for the choice of your answers.

1. Formulate a topic for this project


2. State the dependentvariable and THREE Independent variables you would consider for the study.


3. Identify the population you would use in the conduct of the study. Give reasons for the choice of the population.


4. You are required to pick a sample from the population identified in (c) above. Identify and describe the sampling technique you will employ and give reasons for your choice


5. Indicate the type and sources of Data you will use for the study.


6. Assuming you will have to collect data from the respondents directly, describe the instrumentation you will use.


7. Describe the method you will employ in administering the instrument in (f) above.
