The University of Michigan’s Population Studies
Center provides teaching, learning, training, and
conducting research in the area of population studies.
One of their records had a list of women who gave
birth to at least 25 children before the 19th century.
Recently one of its research students was researching
the difference in the numbers of male and female
children in such families. Compute the probability that
there will be more boys than girls in a family of
25 children.
