The turbine for a new jet engine was designed
for entrance conditions of 160 psia and 1700F, ingesting
500 lbm/s at a speed of 500 rpm, and exit conditions of
80 psia and 1350F. If the altitude and fueling for the engine
were changed such that the entrance conditions were now
140 psia and 1600F, calculate the new operating speed,
mass flow rate, and exit conditions for similar operation, i.e.,
equal efficiency.
