Within your paper, you must analyze a specific topic. Begin by creating a thesis for your paper. The body of your paper should give certain factual information to back up specific statements that support your thesis. Note it is not just merely a collection of what others have said; it is a thoughtful shaping of evidence to support your thesis. Remember, any factual information used within your paper, quoted or paraphrased, mustbe cited using either MLA or APA formatting. It is considered plagiarism if you do not cite your source! Finish with a conclusion that ties your paper together and proves your thesis statement.
Your paper will need to be afull4 to 6 pages in length, 12 point font, 1 inch margins all around, and double spaced. Include a Cover Page, with an original title and a Works Cited page at the end, neitherare part of the 4 to 6 pages. (Also, please do not repeat your cover page info on the first page of your paper. You may use headers or footers if you would like instead.) Students need to have a minimum of 4 sources. You may use electronic databases along with the New York Public Library (www.nypl.org(Links to an external site.)) to find journals, articles, and interviews written on the subject matter you choose.
