Introduction
The management should always have a huge focus on Employee motivation. Motivation leads to an employee’s willingness, goals, action, energy, creativity and commitment. As we all believe, “quality performance starts with a positive attitude”, it is, therefore, the sole responsibility of the management to encourage and motivate their employees towards right track by providing reward and appreciation. This paper will highlight how rewards, appreciation, promotions can encourage the employers to perform and produce their best in the workplace. It also will highlight the relationship between the pay raises and performance from the employers or experts.
Money as a Motivator
Before going to the main term Employee motivation, let us first acknowledge what motivation is. As stated by Ali and Anwar (2021), it is nothing but an internal desire that makes a person moves towards a specific goal. A management should always have a huge focus on employee motivation. However, for small business, it becomes a problematic one as the owner has to contribute years and their total savings for building a company.
However, still entrepreneurs should be conscious of such difficulties because low employee motivation can lead to more number of dangerous problems such as disinterest, discouragements, complacency among the employee, which therefore, it leads to a huge crisis. Management should therefore focus on the financial rewards on employee motivation, behavior and performance.
