The assignment of the states A, B and C are indicated as follows:


(a) Implement this state machine using inverters, two-input and three-input AND gates and two-input OR gates.


(b) Find the maximum operating frequency of the implementation in part (a) if the following timing assignments are applied: tsu (setup time) = 100 ps, th (hold time) = 100 ps, tclk-q (clock-to-q delay) = 200 ps, TINV (inverter delay) = 200 ps, TAND2 (two-input AND gate delay) = 300 ps, TAND3 (three-input AND gate delay) = 400 ps, TOR2 (two-input OR gate delay) = 400 ps.
