Usually, each slide should present 1 idea and is typically 1 min. long. Therefore,aimtopreparearound8slidesforyourpresentation. Contentofthepresentation: 1. Givean introduction.Startwithverysimple facts, suchaskeyplayers (e.g., NASA, ESA, JAXA, SpaceX, etc.). Describe the mission (past, present or planned?),thetoolsused(e.g.,rovers,telescopes,etc.),andgiveanoverview ofthetimelineofthemission. 2. For past or currentmissions: give the key scientific discoveries.Whatwas discoveredduringthemission?Whyisthisdiscoveryimportant? 3. For future missions (planned, or have launched but not arrived yet at destination):describewhatarethemissionobjectives/goals,howtheywillbe carriedout,andwhydowecareaboutthemission? Sometipsforyourpresentation: • Prepareyourpresentation in advance so that ideas are logicallyorganized. Writinganoutlinehelps.Makesuretoaddressalltheimportantpoints(see documentaboutMissionreport–InstructionsonBrightspace). • Considerwritingasentenceofeachslidewiththetakeawaymessage(main messageofthatslide). • Avoidusingsmallfonts,trytouse28pointorlarger. • Graphicsusedshouldbeproperlyreferenced. Weareallexitedtohearyourpresentations.Weunderstandhowever,thatforsome ofyou,presentationsmightbestressful,andagain,thiscourseismeanttohavefun. Allows you to record ameeting, so you can have ameetingwith yourself, recordit,andthenuploadtheresultingrecording.Startameetinginyourpersonal meeting room, click on the “Record” button and choose to record locally (your computer). Use the “Share” button to display your presentation, remembering to check the “Share computer sound box” if your presentation already includes narration,sound,orvideo.Turningonyourvideoisoptional,butyoucannarrateyour presentation as if you were running a meeting, then click either “Pause/Stop Recording”or“EndMeeting”whenyou’refinished.Accessyourrecordingsfromyour account,trimthevideoanddownloaditinMP4format. Prezi.Thishastwodifferentwaystocreateavideowithaudionarrationfromyour presentation.Youcaneitherclickonthe“CreateVideo”optioninthetop-rightcorner andchoosetorecordyourvoicewhileyounavigatethroughthecontentorimport yourpresentationintothePreziVideoapplicationandusethe“Contentonly”viewat thebottomofthescreen.Afteryou’redone,trimthevideoanddownloaditinMP4 format. Tools like TechSmith SnagIt, Panopto (Mac and PC), FlashBack Screen Recorder andQuickTimePlayerallhavethecapabilitytorecordyourscreen(insomecases alongwithyourwebcam)andsavetheresultingfileinoneoftheformatslistedabove.
