The second assessment task is a team assignment focusing on safety promotion for the  3 to 5-year-old child. It is a practical assessment that combines your knowledge on safety, growth and development and your creativity.
This semester the topic to focus on is  Safety in the home or in the farm
Students are required to develop a health promotion item that promotes safety in the home or on the farm that is aimed at children aged between three (3) and five (5) years of age. The item will provide health education regarding home or farm safety related to injury avoidance and must be focused on the child. The item should be designed in accordance with relevant and appropriate developmental principles for the age group, including cognitive, psychosocial and physical development.
Instructions: -
1.  As a group decide on what safety promotion in the home or on the farm that you would like to focus on. 2.  Create an item that promotes safety in your chosen focus, remembering that it must be related to home or farm safety. Please note that you must have an item to present to the class not just an idea. Some examples can be a toy, puzzle, commercial, information recording, story book, colouring or activity book. If you have an idea that you are unsure about, speak to your LIC to make sure that it meets the assignment criteria. 3
