The Rankine cycle with one closed feedwater heater (CFWH). Superheated water vapor enters the turbine at 16 MPa, 520°C and the condenser pressure is 10 kPa. The mass flow rate of steam entering the turbine is 25 kg/s. The CFWH uses extracted steam at 6 MPa. Saturated liquid condensate drains from the CFWH at 6 MPa and is trapped with an expansion valve/trap at 10 kPa into the condenser. The feedwater leaves the CFWH at 16 MP and at a temperature that is equal to the saturation temperature at 6 MPa, Saturated liquid leaves the condenser at 10 kPa.
