The purpose of this assignment is to create a lesson plan to be delivered in the practicum setting. Educators frequently administer a survey to obtain feedback from their learners, like the GCU end of-course surveys (EOCS). This allows for stakeholder involvement and collaboration. You will develop a short survey for your students to complete following the presentation of the lesson plan. This instructor satisfaction survey needs to be included in Appendix A of the "NUR-665E Practicum Lesson Plan Template."
Refer to your student learning needs assessment data and annotated bibliography to support the development of this assignment. Use the "NUR-665E Practicum Lesson Plan Template" to complete this assignment.
Thisassignment requirestwo or three scholarly sources.
While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

1 Dina Day Grand Canyon University January 11th, 2023 Topic: Learning Needs Assessment Part 1 1. Aggression among the elderly: how is it handled? 2. What transpires when a dementia sufferer exhibits aggressive behavior? 3. What are some strategies for typical challenging behaviors in a dementia patient? 4. How do you relax a patient with dementia? 5. What are the best methods for conversing with dementia patients? 6. Explain the six C’s while caring for dementia patients? Part 2 Ans 1. Data collection is obtaining and examining precise data from various sources to identify solutions to study issues, trends, probabilities, etc and to assess potential consequences. A clinical interview, in-person observation of the dementia patient, or a proxy report from a carer or other observers are the foundation for diagnosing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) (Atri,2019). It takes little time to complete the BEHAVE-AD scale (20 min). Reisberg et al. classified 25 psychological and behavioural disorders indicators into 7 main groups or clusters. A worldwide assessment of the BPSD's severity is included in the second section of the BEHAVE-AD. At various phases of AD, there is a wide range of varied symptoms. The majority of the behavioural signs appear in the disease's latter stages. The NPI is a reasonably quick evaluation tool that assesses a variety of psychopathologies, as well as the intensity and frequency of their symptoms (Deardorff & Grossberg,2019). It aids in the classification of dementias. The performance takes ten minutes. The CERAD (Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease) BRSD considers a wide range of symptoms in 8 categories. The BRSD was created to evaluate AD patients with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. To administer it, allow 20 to 30 minutes. Dealing with problematic behaviour and changes in personality frequently is one of the biggest problems of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or any dementia (Atri,2019). Hallucinations, aggression, roaming, or problems with eating or sleeping can be stressful and make the caretaker's job even more challenging. It's critical to remember that the individual suffering from dementia is not purposefully unpleasant, regardless of the issues Nurses face. The loved one's surroundings, incapacity to handle stress, or failed communication attempts frequently exacerbate their behavioural problems (Kales et al,2019). Ans 2. One may significantly enhance both the caregiving experience and the well-being of the dementia patient by implementing a few little modifications that will reduce stress for both parties. Finding out what makes the patient anxious or uncomfortable is the first step in dealing with problematic behaviour. Make changes to the surroundings to lessen stresses that would otherwise cause agitation and confusion (Atri,2019). There are plenty of them, such as loud or strange noises, dim illumination, mirrors or other reflective surfaces, vivid colours, and patterned wallpaper. Nurses should maintain their composure. The patient's stress may escalate if they get concerned or agitated due to problematic conduct. Instead of reacting to the action itself, pay attention to the emotion that is being sent by it. Try to maintain your pliability, patience, and ease. Take a break to calm down if you notice yourself growing agitated or losing control (Deardorff & Grossberg,2019). Reference 1. Atri, A. (2019).
