Traditional methods of project management are becoming obsolete with increased complexity as well with increased demands of the recent day projects. These developments are insisting for more complex and advanced tools and equipments for project management requirements. Management of any project ingeneral need to have a project management plan, which comprehensively will cover the scope of the project, resources for the project viz., costing, timing benchmark setting. Also there is sufficient need for setting the project quality standards, human staff and other support elements deputation. Other domains that the project management focuses are about the communication, project information, stakeholder management, risk management and procurement planning as well. Governance of the project, the means and ways etc will be decided by the project management planning and execution. An effective governance can able to integrate the interactive connections between different areas of the project and will able to fix the interconnections and will able to provide efficient interactive connections between these diverse project sectors. The following write-up discusses variety of ways and means in which the project management functions. Illustration, where necessary is provided with an example of a commercial IT software development project(Heldman,2018).

There are variety of project management techniques suitable for the current project management requirements. However the current project is managed with Agile project management techniques. Agile project management is suitable for flexible project management operations, where in the operations are performed by small and diverse teams of collaborative groups and there is also necessary to integrate frequent iterations in the project. Project tools, there is scope to apply range of project tools like open source project management software for organizing the workflows, Slack and Skype for corporate messaging requirements, Actiplans for scheduling requirements, ActiTimes for scheduling project timings, QuickBooks etc for financing and budgeting requirements(Milosevic and Martinelli,2016). Apart from these there are several other custom tools available and employable in the current project case.
